The Opportunity with McKinstry

McKinstry's fabrication shops are a core operational engine - serving both the Construction and Modular Products divisions and representing one of the company's most significant growth areas. This role owns the technology strategy that enables those shops to operate at scale.

As Senior Product Manager for Manufacturing & Fabrication Technology, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and hands-on execution for the platforms that power McKinstry's fabrication operations - currently Stratus and Acumatica. You will work at the intersection of business operations and technology, translating complex, multi-stakeholder needs into a coherent platform strategy while maintaining the operational fluency to back up your platform PMs when it matters.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role that requires equal comfort in a leadership conversation and a system configuration screen.

What You'll Own

• Technology strategy and roadmap for fabrication-enabling platforms, aligned to business priorities across the Fabrication Shop Network
• Platform product management for Stratus and Acumatica, including backlog prioritization, release planning, and vendor relationship management
• Hands-on platform administration, configuration, and troubleshooting - acting as backup and escalation point for platform PMs
• Stakeholder alignment across business divisions (Construction and Modular Products), BizTech leadership, and implementation partners
• Enablement and day-to-day leadership of platform PMs (currently two), setting them up to own their domains with confidence
• Integration awareness across adjacent platforms (ERP, Autodesk, Procore) and the ability to identify and flag cross-platform dependencies before they become sequencing risks

What You Need To Succeed at McKinstry:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft products including SharePoint and Project. PowerBI a plus.

• Previous experience in the A/E/C industry desired.

• Project Management skills desired.

• Product Management skills desired.

• 6-10 years in Product Management or A/E/C industry technology solutions required.

• Previous experience in a technology work environment a plus.

• Knowledge of software development methodologies a plus.

• Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

• Ability to quickly understand a specific LOB/CSU domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space.

• Knowledge, experience, and certifications in and experience with Agile software development methodologies desired.

• Curiosity and interest in technology solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.

The pay range for this position is $99,270 - $169,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
