Sr. Environmental Safety and Health Manager (EHS Manager)

As a key member of the plant leadership team, you'll champion a world-class safety culture, ensure environmental compliance, drive continuous improvement, and inspire teams to achieve ambitious safety and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior EHS Manager, you will:

Build a Safety-First Culture
• Lead and strengthen a proactive, behavior-based safety culture through Danone's WISE2 Safety Management System.
• Engage employees, supervisors, and leaders in creating a safer workplace.
• Drive reductions in injuries, illnesses, and risk exposure.
• Lead Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage environmental permits, reporting requirements, air and wastewater programs, waste management activities, and sustainability initiatives.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
• Drive Continuous Improvement
• Develop and implement innovative EHS programs, policies, and best practices.
• Lead audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
• Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Advance Sustainability Goals
• Oversee waste-reduction programs and support Zero Waste to Landfill objectives.
• Lead environmental impact reduction efforts and sustainability projects.
• Support capital projects that improve safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency.
• Develop Teams & Leaders
• Lead, coach, and develop EHS professionals.
• Oversee plant-wide EHS training and capability building.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership.

Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems
Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of EHS leadership experience within a manufacturing or plant environment
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
• Experience leading safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability programs
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental health & safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field
• Large-scale manufacturing operations
• Wastewater treatment, air permitting, and environmental reporting
• ISO 14001 or formal EHS management systems
• Behavioral safety programs and culture transformation
• Experience leading audits, investigations, and regulatory interactions
