Position Description Summary:
The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs and Department of Economics invite applications for two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions beginning Fall 2027. We seek applicants specializing in international trade.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities will include courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the Elliott School and the Economics Department, and the candidate should maintain flexibility regarding the eventual teaching portfolio. The position will be affiliated with the Elliott School's Institute for International Economic Policy and Master's programs in International Economic Policy, International Development Studies, and International Science and Technology Policy. Elliott School faculty maintain engagement with policy issues and the policy community as a general criterion for appointment.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in economics with a primary focus on international trade. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or complete all requirements for the Ph.D. by the date of appointment. Applications at the mid-level or senior assistant professor level will also be strongly considered.
Advertised Salary: $150,000-$165,000
