About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to independently drive end-to-end tasks within large-scale projects. In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in the design and development of data products, infrastructure, and solutions. You will be a solid individual contributor, showcasing your expertise in core data concepts, advanced technologies, and methods. This is an opportunity to translate complex business requirements into robust technical data solutions, making a tangible impact on how our organization understands and utilizes its data.

What You'll Do



  • Provide essential support to data users by maintaining reports, queries, and dashboards, and executing plans for critical dependency changes, such as system migrations.
  • Design and implement innovative business solutions and infrastructure to build and scale common frameworks, establishing new data pipelines in partnership with upstream providers.
  • Champion and improve technical best practices, focusing on data discoverability, lifecycle management, and master data governance.
  • Design, build, operationalize, secure, and monitor sophisticated data processing systems, with a strong emphasis on security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, fidelity, flexibility, and portability.
  • Leverage, deploy, and continuously train existing machine learning models, and actively learn and implement new data storage and serving systems.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis and profiling using various tools, custom infrastructure, or existing data models, while collaborating with clients to understand their needs and clarify requirements.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making by expertly collecting, transforming, and publishing data.
  • Create and consult on data visualizations and features using internal and external business intelligence tools.
  • Develop and maintain robust data models, pipelines, and exchange formats to support data visualization, analysis, interpretation, and machine learning training.
  • Consult with users, partners, and decision-makers to identify data sources, define required data elements, and establish data validation standards.
  • Collaborate with application engineers to understand and influence logging and transactional storage, and partner with data scientists on machine learning training and feature engineering.


Required Qualifications



  • Proficiency in code comprehension and programming skills.
  • Strong information gathering skills.
  • Experience with big data infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts.
  • Proven stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Expertise in data exploration.
  • Ability to design data pipelines (ETL) and perform data modeling.
  • Understanding of Statistics and proficiency with Business Intelligence tools.
