YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Lead Biogas Technician opportunity in our Texas operations. In this highly impactful role, you will be responsible forworking in a team environment to accomplish the operations and maintenance objectives identified by Seaboard Foods RNG Management. Leadtechnicians are expected to have a solid understanding of RNG systems, including coremechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components, and to demonstrate consistentadherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards. You will be responsible forperforming advanced troubleshooting, executing preventative maintenance, andsupporting continuous improvement efforts to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliableperformance of RNG facility operations. This role acts as the supervisory authority inlieu of an absent Area Supervisor of the operating area, requiring sound reasoning,decision-making, employee motivation, and communicative decisions for the team andensuring safe, reliable operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Monitor and Optimize Process Performance: Utilize all operational variables
    and other key metrics to assess operating conditions and improve reliability and
    efficient methane concentrations in processed gas.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and correct complex process
    issues, including equipment malfunctions and all plant/system inefficiencies.
  • Plant Process and Gathering System Oversight: Troubleshoot all systems andplant processes by adjusting regimens and/or operating parameters and ensuringoptimal system performance. Apply knowledge of temperature, pressure, and
    boiling point relationships to optimize process operations.
  • ADL/SMP/LS- Effluent Oversight: Analyze causes and impacts of effluentmovements, communicate with farms, and implement corrective measures to5.2025maintain consistent operations. Understand and apply theoretical principles behind
    mixing anaerobic digester liquids (ADLs) and using recycled water for barn pitflushing.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and qualitystandards by an unwavering commitment to ensure safe practices and processconsistency across systems.
  • Technician Mentorship and Teambuilding: Lead by example for attitude,aptitude, and positivity. Coach and mentor other technicians on how to workcollectively, collaborate, and motivate towards meeting business goals.
  • Must respond to callouts as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned at management's discretion.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret in the English language
    correspondence, general business reports, professional journals, technical
    procedures, governmental regulations, or reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
    customers and visitors.
  • 3+ years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.


Preferred:



  • Associate's degree or Technical school diploma or related degree program/fieldpreferred. Biology and/or Chemistry experience preferred.
  • Previous advanced experience in the gas compression field and/or processing
    plant environment preferred.
