Position Summary This position supports end-of-line operations, warehouse and shipping activities, and filling department production requirements. Employees in this role will regularly rotate between removing finished goods from production lines, staging and loading customer or interplant shipments, and performing material movements that support filling department operations and production demands. Work assignments may vary based on operational needs and business priorities. Key Responsibilities
- Remove finished goods from production lines for direct shipment, interplant transfer, or warehouse storage.
- Accurately receive finished goods from production using RF terminals, SAP, and other applicable systems.
- Perform visual inspections of finished goods, identifying leaks, missing labels, damaged containers, and other non-conforming conditions.
- Verify that finished goods materials (FERTs) correspond to the product and labels running on the production line.
- Operate and maintain robotic palletizing and in-line wrapping equipment.
- Build, stage, and organize pallet bays as required.
- Load customer, interplant, and shuttle trailers with finished goods or other materials.
- Ensure all dock safety requirements and loading procedures are completed before entering trailers.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Regularly rotate between end-of-line operations, truck loading activities, and material handling assignments that support Filling Department production requirements.
- Support Filling Department operations through material resupply, non-bulk raw material receiving, and other material handling activities necessary to maintain safe and efficient production schedules.
- Utilize computers, radios, RF equipment, SAP, and other systems to complete required documentation and data collection.
- Assist with rework activities, projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other assignments as directed by supervision or management.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and business needs.
Qualifications:
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and other powered equipment.
- Ability to learn and use SAP, RF equipment, and other computer systems required for inventory control and operational activities.
- Ability to learn basic truck loading techniques and load planning.
- Ability to understand bills of lading and shipping documentation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and documented procedures.
- Strong reading and comprehension skills necessary for understanding work instructions and documenting activities.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to learn, master, and consistently apply safe material handling practices.
- Ability to climb ladders, platforms, stairs, and safely access equipment.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with material handling and equipment operation.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to complete and demonstrate comprehension of required safety training.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.
- Commitment to following all company safety rules, procedures, and policies.
- Must be able to work overtime as required to support operational needs.
