Country United States of America State / County California City Gardena Division EPD Company Permaswage Gardena Function Quality Workplace Type On-Site Position type Full Time Opportunity ID 23904 Job Description Position Summary: Level Three: Working with minimal supervision, the Level Three QC Inspector performs advanced in-process and final dimensional inspections of precision aerospace components manufactured on CNC equipment. Inspects parts to engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, customer specifications, and applicable quality standards. The Inspector may serve as an SME or DSQR (Customer Certified Inspector), provide guidance and training to lower-level inspectors, complete AS9102 documentation, and support troubleshooting of dimensional and process-related issues. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Work safely under functional safety guidelines, including proper PPE and equipment interaction Perform advanced in-process and final dimensional inspections of CNC-machined aerospace components Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and inspection requirements Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection tools Verify critical dimensions, tolerances, threads, holes, and other drawing requirements prior to backend processing Perform first-piece and in-process inspections and document results accurately Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports independently Identify and communicate nonconforming conditions and support troubleshooting and corrective actions Lead and train lower-level inspectors and serve as a technical resource for inspection-related issues Required Skills: Expert knowledge of aerospace inspection and dimensional measurement Expert blueprint reading, GD&T, and shop math skills Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection methods Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and make sound technical inspection decisions Knowledge of AS9102 and aerospace quality requirements Required Experience: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Typically, 5+ years of aerospace or precision manufacturing inspection experience Experience performing dimensional inspection of CNC-machined components Experience with GD&T, CMMs, and advanced inspection equipment preferred Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports Level of Education: GED or High School diploma preferred but not All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $22.50 to $28 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 96 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
