Description
Keep Things Running. Lead the Way. Make an Impact.

At Mayville Engineering Company (MEC), keeping production moving takes more than reliable equipment. It takes a team that knows how to solve problems, work together, and stay one step ahead. When equipment goes down, every minute matters. When maintenance runs well, the entire operation benefits.

We're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who brings technical know-how, strong leadership, and a hands-on approach to keeping our facility running at its best. You'll lead and develop the maintenance team, coordinate daily priorities, and drive preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment, machinery, and facility systems operating safely and reliably.

If you're a natural problem-solver who can lead through challenges, develop people, and turn maintenance goals into measurable results, we want to hear from you.

Here's Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Lead the Team: Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members while building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Stay One Step Ahead: Plan, coordinate, and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance programs for equipment, utilities, and facility systems to minimize downtime.

  • Solve Problems at the Source: Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective maintenance to get operations back on track.

  • Set the Standard: Establish and maintain procedures for equipment installation, modifications, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance in accordance with engineering principles and safety requirements.

  • Make Every Resource Count: Monitor labor utilization and team efficiency while prioritizing maintenance activities to support production goals.

  • Get New Equipment Ready to Roll: Coordinate testing of newly installed machines and equipment to verify proper operation and fulfillment of applicable requirements.

  • Keep Critical Parts Within Reach: Oversee spare parts, materials, and inventory to ensure the team has the resources needed to respond to maintenance needs.

  • Bring Departments Together: Partner with Production, Engineering, and other internal teams to communicate equipment changes, address challenges, and support smooth operations.

  • Build Strong Partnerships: Coordinate with outside service providers and vendors to support maintenance needs and resolve technical issues.

  • Make Safety Nonnegotiable: Enforce safe work practices, identify potential hazards, and ensure maintenance activities follow applicable safety regulations, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • A minimum of three years of maintenance leadership experience preferred.

  • Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.

  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to resolving equipment issues.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes, including machinery, electrical systems, carpentry, and related facility needs.

  • The ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with maintenance personnel, Production, Engineering, and outside service providers.

  • A commitment to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.

Why MEC? Because Strong Teams Build Strong Operations.

At MEC, maintenance is about more than fixing what breaks. It's about developing people, preventing problems, and creating the conditions for the entire plant to succeed. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference through both your technical expertise and your leadership.

  • Your Leadership Matters: Help your team grow, build confidence, and take ownership of their work.

  • Your Decisions Make a Difference: Influence equipment reliability, production efficiency, and the day-to-day success of the operation.

  • Your Skills Keep Growing: Take on technical challenges, strengthen your expertise, and find new ways to improve maintenance performance.

  • Your Partnerships Drive Results: Work across departments to solve problems and keep everyone moving toward shared goals.

  • Your Impact Goes Beyond the Fix: Help create a safer, more reliable, and more productive workplace for the entire team.
