What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services crucial for charting and market data applications, ensuring optimal performance and unwavering reliability.
• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial requirements analysis and architectural design through implementation, rigorous testing, seamless deployment, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate effectively with product owners, business partners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that precisely meet user needs and exceed expectations.
• Design and implement robust APIs and service integrations that provide seamless connectivity and support for both internal systems and client-facing applications.
• Analyze and proactively resolve application defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks to uphold system integrity and operational excellence.
• Actively participate in thorough code reviews and contribute significantly to the evolution of engineering standards and best practices within the team.
• Support critical release activities and contribute to maintaining exceptional system stability, high availability, and overall performance.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Java.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting robust backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience building and supporting distributed or client/server applications.
• Proficiency in working with Spring Framework and its related technologies.
• Experience developing and supporting applications in Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Familiarity with source control, automated testing, build, and deployment tools.
• Experience with relational databases and various data access technologies.
• Experience with messaging technologies and designing event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to analyze and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own features from initial design through production support.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical issues effectively.
• Experience participating actively in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
