Work assignments are prioritized based on departmental goals, operational needs, and the demands of high-volume procedural areas. The CST is responsible for accurate and efficient inventory management across assigned locations, including perioperative services and ambulatory care areas. Responsibilities include ordering supplies to replenish inventory, monitoring utilization and inventory turns, adjusting par levels based on clinical demand, and maintaining appropriate stock levels while minimizing shortages and overstock. Additional duties include receiving, verifying, and distributing supplies and equipment; reconciling packing slips; identifying discrepancies; documenting received goods; and safely transporting supplies weighing up to 50 pounds to designated areas. This position requires working efficiently and accurately in fast-paced procedural environments while supporting time-sensitive surgical and procedural workflows. Responsibilities include restocking and organizing supply areas, managing assigned module supply carts, maintaining barcode labels for scanning and inventory accuracy, and following up on vendor direct shipments to ensure timely availability of critical supplies. The CST works closely with clinical staff, supply chain personnel, and vendors to maintain supply readiness across multiple procedural areas. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to supporting uninterrupted patient care operations. Qualifications

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while responding to frequent supply requests and operational demands. Strong English verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with clinical staff, supervisors, and supply chain teams. Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads, assignments, and schedules-including weekend coverage-is required. Employees must comply with all UCLA Health policies, infection control practices, and safety requirements, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and stay current with required HR training and competency requirements.
