Krueger Bearings is looking for a Working Lead Machinist to help lead our second-shift team.

We're a family-owned machine shop specializing in low-volume, custom machining. Our work isn't about running the same parts all day, every day. It's about problem-solving, precision, different setups, and getting challenging jobs out the door on time.

We need an experienced machinist who can do the work, support the people around them, and help keep production moving.

Stay hands-on. You'll continue machining, setting up jobs, and solving problems while helping lead the team.

Take ownership. Help organize priorities, address production issues, and keep work moving in the right direction.

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment, based on your experience and assigned work.

• Help coordinate daily work priorities to meet production schedules and shipment deadlines.

• Provide hands-on guidance and technical support to machinists.

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and quality issues.

• Review blueprints and machining requirements to ensure parts meet specifications.

• Monitor work progress and help identify potential delays before they become bigger problems.

• Promote safe work practices, good housekeeping, and consistent quality.

• Communicate production concerns, employee needs, and job status to the Production Manager.

• Help train employees and share machining knowledge across the team.

• Lead by example through dependability, professionalism, and accountability.

This is a working lead position, so you'll spend time both machining parts and helping the team succeed. We're looking for someone who understands that leadership means supporting the people doing the work, not simply assigning tasks.

• Solid machining experience, including setups and troubleshooting.

• The ability to read blueprints and work with precision tolerances.

• Strong problem-solving skills and sound machining judgment.

• The ability to guide coworkers, communicate clearly, and hold people accountable respectfully.

• Good organizational skills and an understanding of production priorities.

• A dependable, hands-on approach to leadership.

• A commitment to safety, quality, and meeting delivery commitments.

Previous lead experience is a plus, but we're also interested in an experienced machinist who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

Monday-Thursday | 3:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m.
