Adopt A Family Administrative Assistant/ Phone Bank Worker

*** Full- Time, Monday- Friday 9:00 A.M.- 4:00 P.M., Compensation Rate: $15.00 Per Hour***

SUMMARY: Coordinate and complete tasks related to the Adopt A Family program, provide assistance to sponsors and respond to client's request and needs for Christmas assistance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide the public with information regarding Salvation Army Christmas assistance programs.
• The ability to a be self-starter and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Be knowledgeable about holiday assistance in the metro area and make referrals as needed.
• Complete and approve online Christmas applications.
• Display professionalism when working with clients on the phone and in person.
• Schedule appointments and complete in person Christmas applications.
• Ensure that all applications are accurate and entered in a timely manner.
• Return all phone calls from clients regarding the Christmas assistance programs.
• Perform any other duties assigned duties by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have good customer service and data entry skills with the ability to type 45 words per minute.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have High Diploma or GED and a minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training in customer service and data entry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is a business office setting with office equipment, light traffic and moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
