The Opportunity

BBSI has partnered with a well-established and expanding Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead its high-volume Santa Ana location.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven restaurant leader who knows how to run a successful operation, develop a strong team, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and drive financial performance.

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the restaurant, including a team of 50+ employees, front- and back-of-house operations, staffing and development, P&L performance, labor and food costs, inventory, safety, and overall guest satisfaction.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, holds teams accountable, and is excited about growing with an expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day operations of a high-volume restaurant, ensuring exceptional food quality, service, cleanliness, and guest experience.
  • Manage and develop a team of 50+ employees, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, performance management, and retention.
  • Take ownership of the restaurant's P&L, including sales, labor, COGS, inventory, waste, and overall profitability.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, and margins.
  • Oversee inventory levels, ordering, vendor coordination, and cost controls.
  • Build a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture while developing future leaders.
  • Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and operational compliance.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and create an environment that encourages customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Oversee weekly scheduling, payroll, reporting, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and brand standards are consistently followed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably within a high-volume QSR, fast-casual, or large-scale restaurant environment.
  • Proven experience successfully leading and developing large teams.
  • Strong knowledge of P&L management, labor costs, COGS, budgeting, inventory, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving operational and financial results.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Stable and consistent employment history.
  • Experience with restaurant POS and management systems such as Toast, 7Shifts, Craftable, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and basic business technology.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Flexibility to work approximately 45-50 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional education in Business, Hospitality, or Restaurant Management is preferred; however, strong operational experience and proven results are valued over formal education.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required or ability to obtain within 60-90 days.
  • Completion of California-required Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors within the required timeframe.

Benefits

The comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • $50,000 Life Insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • PTO
  • Sick pay
  • $100 monthly cell phone reimbursement
  • Performance bonus opportunity up to $20k
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
