Job Description Position Title: Marching Band Competitive Drill Designer Caption Head Reports To: Director of Bands Position Statement: Marching band visual caption head is an integral part of the marching band staff. Helps in rehearsal planning, show design, and in implementing a visual technique in conjunction with the head director. Essential Functions: * Attends all competitions/performances as dictated by Band Director. * Attends all rehearsals during the course of the season. * Implements marching/music technique in a full ensemble and sectional setting. * Teaches and cleans drill responsibilities. * Runs rehearsals both visually and musically in sectionals. Skills: Individual should be a strong leader in music and the marching arts with excellent skills in conducting, marching, choreography, and performance. Must have extensive experience in the marching arts (DCI, WGI, college marching band, etc). Calendar: Throughout the school year/dependent upon competitive season ex: Marching Band August- October or November - April Hours Per Week: Hours per week dictated by Director of Bands based on needs Building: Niles West & Niles North Performance Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the District evaluation procedures.
