POSITION SUMMARY

Instructing or assisting with the instruction of beginning, intermediate, and advanced participants. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and outgoing with a strong passion for snow sports instruction and snow sports culture. Position runs from November to April. Full-time and part-time seasonal opportunities available. Pay range of $21.50 - $28.00 per hour, based on certification level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • To teach skiing or snowboarding from beginner to expert
  • Provide a safe learning environment for students
  • Attend & lead clinics for instructors
  • Ability to teach a variety of lessons types
  • Assist in preparation of learning areas
  • Learn the lift procedures for junior participants
  • Assist with Junior School registration and checkout processes
  • Assist with Junior School lunchtime duties
  • Help with creation of training programs
  • Light construction


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School diploma preferred but not required

Certifications: Level 1, 2, or 3 PSIA/ AASI certification or equivalent

Experience: High intermediate or advanced skiing/riding skills, previous teaching experiences a plus

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Teaching experience
  • Advanced skiing/snowboarding skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Outgoing, with excellent communication skills


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires working weekends and holidays.
