The Material Handler will support the supply chain team to manage the movement of materials around the manufacturing site, along with ensuring inventory control measures. This position is an integral part of helping the shipping receiving team on a frequent basis. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment with a highly collaborative team, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the movement of materials from receiving dock to appropriate storage locations
  • Review expense item stocking levels and reorder when necessary
  • Maintain purchased kanbans including, weekly audits and monthly resets based on input from planners
  • Maintain inventory on finished goods. I.E Perform cycle counts on a weekly basis and investigate any inventory variances to keep quantities accurate and to keep shipments on time. Report inventory discrepancies to management.
  • Delivery of material to/from production areas in accordance with production plans
  • Perform necessary stock transactions in MRP system to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Package and label all compounds products prior to shipment
  • Provide backup support to team Shipper/Receivers and perform other duties as assigned to support work flow.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum 3+ years of shipping/receiving, material handling or manufacturing experience required
  • Must be certified in DOT and IATA training or willing to complete training within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to work on a team and independently with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to perform essential math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and dividision in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals.
  • Intermediate computer skills and adaptability to learn internal computer systems
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both internally and externally
