Summary of Position

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Shop Mechanic to join our expanding team in York, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various pieces of construction equipment. Reporting directly to the Equipment Shop Foreman the ideal candidate will have a solid background in heavy equipment or truck repair, with a strong knowledge of diesel technology.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Perform diagnostic tests on equipment to identify issues.
  • Analyze diagnostic results and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform equipment repairs, including undercarriage work and part replacements
  • Coordinate parts orders.
  • Assist with other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of diesel engine components.
  • Proficient in electrical and hydraulic diagnostics.
  • Skilled in using hand and specialized trade tools
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt.
  • Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a CDL license.
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends, as needed.
