We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.

We are seeking an analytical, creative, and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to join our Rocket Park team. As a member of the Operations Finance organization, you will drive critical initiatives to improve the quality and timeliness of insights provided to business leadership, assisting them in understanding financial performance, develop tools to enable proactive financial management, and provide insights to enable critical business decisions. The individual should possess excellent financial acumen and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will be working day to day using Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting, Planful (Blue Origin's Financial Planning tool) and Costpoint (Accounting system). This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Available full-time on-site in Florida and relocation is provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models, cost-benefit analyses, and metrics

  • Collaborate across finance teams for reporting and analytics

  • Create content and perform variance analysis for reviews

  • Lead metrics and financial performance reviews with management

  • Possess strong knowledge of financial statements and dashboards

  • Assist business managers with budgeting and performance insights

  • Drive monthly forecasts for labor, overhead, and captial

  • Compile EACs at elemental and program levels

  • Identify risks and opportunities, helping develop recovery plans

  • Analyze actuals vs budget and forecast variances

  • Collect data to highlight financial and business performance metrics

  • Generate key business analytics and performance indicators

  • Support internal initiatives for new products

  • Understand business processes and financial impact

  • Foster trust, maintain professional relationships, and promote inclusion

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other highly analytical field with 5+ years of financial and business analytics experience

  • Control account management including budget baselining, reforecasting, and variance analysis

  • Ability to develop pricing models based on multiple inputs including market conditions, competition, and other constraints

  • Strong analytical skill set and high attention to detail

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills

  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel Power Query, Power Pivot

  • Experience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver results

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

  • Experience with SQL querying and data mining

  • Experience with Tableau and Deltek Costpoint

  • Experience working in a Research & Development or Manufacturing environment

  • MBA, CPA, or Master's Degree in Finance

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
