Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Sales Support Specialist is an integral part of the sales team and is responsible for assisting our national accounts rep and customers across all Southland Group locations with order procurement, sourcing status, tracking, and problem resolution. This position plays a key role in ensuring customers have a positive experience, especially when dealing with unexpected issues.

  • Assist the national accounts rep and industrial customers with their power distribution orders
  • Source and procure parts ensuring quotes, pricing and timelines are appropriate
  • Monitor and track POs and sales orders, and follow up with customers and internal departments to resolve any issues
  • Participate in marketing campaigns and activities
  • Work with other departments, including Engineering, to ensure customer requests are delivered accurately and on-time
  • Deliver an Unmatched Customer Experience by honoring commitments, being responsive and delivering value and integrity to internal and external customers

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 3+ years' experience in a relevant sales support role; some college preferred
  • Technical knowledge of power distribution equipment preferred as well as ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Previous support of PEARL is a plus
  • Computer proficiency to include MS Office, ERP and CRM systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with constant deadlines
