Internal Medicine/Transitional Year Faculty - Associate Program Director

As we expand our GME Programs within Lee Health, we are seeking Internal Medicine Physicians to join our Internal Medicine/Transitional Year Graduate Medicine Education team as the Associate Program Director! This is a new, exciting role that involves providing clinical patient care and mentoring residents, while also serving as an expert competency evaluator. The Associate Program Director will work closely with the Program Director and Core Faculty to develop and implement the resident evaluation system, core curriculum, didactics and clinical . Administrative responsibilities also include knowledge of the ACGME guidelines and responsibility for compliance with guidelines as delegated by the Program Director.

The right candidate will be willing to complete a mix of outpatient continuity clinic and inpatient care.

Requirements:

- Must meet all of the requirements for faculty members set forth in the Accreditation Counsel for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Internal Medicine.

- MD or DO

- Completion of an ACGME Accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program

- Current Florida Medical License in Good Standing (or ability to obtain this prior to start date)

- Active, unrestricted DEA in the State of Florida (prior to start date)

- BC in Internal Medicine in Active standing

- BLS, ACLS Required from the American Heart Association
