A transformational leader responsible for supporting the Clinical Social Work Manager in administrative duties and providing first line supervision of Social Work staff. The Assistant Manager, Clinical Social Work will provide leadership by collaborating with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional Social Work practice in the clinical setting. Participates in organizational and department based quality improvement activities, and provide input on standards of care. Must provide patient care on an as needed basis and maintain clinical competencies with the potential for daily patient care shift assignments. Collaborates with all team members to maximize discharge planning and patient progression. May supervise bachelors
and masters level students and acts as a liaison to the community through public speaking. Participates in clinical training and clinical supervision of MSW staff. Supervises care provided by maintaining high visibility to patients/families and staff in the clinical area(s).
