We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-liftorbital launch vehicle capable ofroutinelycarrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designedfrom the beginningto be human-capable.

As part of a small, hardworking, passionate, diverse, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for structural dynamic analysis of flight hardware and simulations modeling separation events during flight including both launch vehicle systems and spacecraft. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform dynamic analysis of launch vehicle and spacecraft separation events including loss of clearance, SRS response, load generation, and Montecarlo analysis.

  • Create detailed, high-fidelity, transient models of high energy separation mechanisms.

  • Work with mechanical engineers to perform trade studies on separation system architectures.

  • Develop component level requirements for separation mechanisms derived from analysis.

  • Perform structural analysis of metallic and composite flight hardware during dynamic events.

  • Assist in test planning, screening tests, qualification, performing data reduction and analysis.

  • Write margin of safety summaries, qualification reports, and other supporting documentation.

  • Create databooks to document system level requirements and capture component level performance.

  • Present and clearly communicate analysis findings in design reviews and reports.

  • Maintain schedules and report on technical status.

  • Identify opportunities for improvements and operational cost savings.
