The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Controls Product Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Alpharetta, GA as part of the LGEUS CAC Controls Product Support Engineering Team!

You will contribute to control solution initiatives to drive growth and application of LG's expanding line of residential, VRF and commercial air conditioning equipment in the US market. You'll be working with a dedicated team of engineers and our OEM partners and factory R&D members to develop controls and controls solutions that meet our customers' needs, simplify applications, and differentiate our HVAC offerings from the competition.

As the Controls Product Support Engineer, you will:



  • Support proper product application to field projects through creating product applications materials, providing product/applications training to sales and reps, and working with sales and reps on specific applications challenges.
  • Analyze, build, and maintain Controls training materials.
  • Define product/feature requirements and effectively communicate with the factory through product/feature development process.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Electrical or Mechanical Product Management Experience.
  • 2+ yrs experience in US applied commercial air conditioning industry including experience in technical product applications support required.
  • 6+ yrs working as an Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with Hardware and Software testing.
  • Highly Analytical.
  • Presentation of data for technical analysis.
  • PM Certification a plus.
  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with a technical audience including engineers, consultants, and owners.
  • Adaptable to the management style and process methods of foreign colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Strong technical project management background with a proven track record of building project plans and delivering projects on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Experience troubleshooting protocol communications with the ability to decode, analyze and debug systems communications data quickly and efficiently.
  • Experience creating and executing Hardware and Software Test Plans.
  • Capable/comfortable working in a test lab environment.
  • Exposure to VRF and Hydronic technology desired.
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to write well-crafted and grammatically proper technical documentation.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to quickly grasp technically challenging information and apply it to the day-to-day job. responsibilities to solve problems and arrive at innovative solutions.

$92,000 - $110,000 USD
