The Department of Biochemistry Job Description
The Department of Biochemistry is seeking a Senior Research Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support for all research activities conducted in the lab. In addition to research responsibilities, this role includes general lab management and supervisory duties, such as organizing the lab, maintaining common stocks, ordering supplies, and managing inventory logs. The individual will also oversee equipment service contracts and ensure the maintenance of research equipment, as well as enforce lab safety protocols. Furthermore, this position entails limited supervisory responsibilities, primarily focused on training new lab staff in routine duties and protocols. Duties include: * General lab management duties, including maintaining lab organization, ordering supplies, managing inventories, making and maintaining general-use stocks, and coordinating lab safety requirements and procedures Shift
Typically, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with the ability to be flexible when needs arise Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Education: Ph.D or MS degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related fields Anticipated Hiring Range
